I am wondering how we allow people to exploit us. I fall for their big
words and showmanship like the advertisements in the TV Channels subtly
controlling our reason and fall a prey to their viles. There is one
subtle advertisement by the Art of Living Guru Sri Sri Ravishankar.
I am wondering who gave him the title “Guru” and Sri Sri. Because
the advertisements are paid by Ravishankar himself they should
be self given titles. In the advertisement I am discussing, there are
two actors one the husband and the other the wife. The husband is on
a reading spree and the wife is angry and throws a pillow at him. He
cooly picks it from the ground and offers to the lady and this exercise
goes for some time, i.e she throws the pillow and he picks it up and
offers it to her. May be she got tired and rests on a chair exhausted
and for the audience there is the subtle answer. Art of living attend
the training! Remember Ravishankar and other Babas claim to be celebates
and have not known the woman! When Adishankar is believed to have discussed
his Advaita philosophy with the Tantric couple Mandana Mishra and Abhaya
Bharati claiming that this world is an illusion and when Abhaya Bharati
put a counter question whether he has experienced Woman, Shankaracharya
became a slave of Abhaya Bharati’s charms and installed her as goddess
in the Shringeri temple and wrote the greatest erotic poem “Soundarya
Lahari”. I am just wondering how these people can speak on the harmony
and happiness in married life when they have run away from life!
I fell
a prey to the viles of a building contractor as I was not sure I would
live and entrusted one Alex Punnassery with Rs.12,00,000/- to apply
for the municipality permission for 2000 sq.ft. for building, and after
construction apply for 1500 sq.ft building.
The way
he talked I was confident that I will be able to inaugurate the exhibition
not later than June 2007.
The contract
was for Rs.675/- per sq.ft including all other expenses except fees
for the Panchayat plan approvals and TNEB connections.
In
the 1st phase it was to build 2000 sq.ft and after
completion 1500 sq.ft. An advance of Rs.9 lakhs was paid on 3.3.2007
and without applying for the panchayat plan approvals a bill dated 11.4.2007
was given for Rs.7,93,480/- asking for another advance of Rs.10 lakhs.
The bill was for purchases and expenses.
The applications
to Panchayat was made only on 13.4.2007. I reached Podanur
on 14.6.2007. I was shocked to see no work was done.
Again
on 4.9.2007 I paid Rs.3 lakhs so a total of 12 lakhs had been paid to
the contractor without really using it for construction from 3rd
March 2007. i.e for 6 months without any interest to me and used for
completion of his 3 floor building in the neighbourhood . In this connection
I have explained the matter in my registered letters dated 17.7.2007,
8.10.2007,6.12.2007 and 7.12.2007 copied to the Architect to whom the
contractor had paid on my behalf Rs.50,000/-, Rs.25,000/- and
supervision charges of Rs.30,000/-. Again I sent letter dated 11.12.2007
to contractor and architect by Regd. Post and the letter to the Architect
came back on 22.12.2007 as refused.
Without
producing the copy of the Panchayat plan approval the contractor stopped
the work and removed all his materials lying in our compound stating
that without further advances he will not proceed with the construction
and that he had to pay to the panchayat Rs.40,000 as bribe to get the
Panchayat plan approval. I had to make my own arrangements to get the
panchayat plan approval and deposit the charges and there was not a
single paise bribe to be paid. The question is did the contractor bribe
Rs.40,000/- and would his accounts prove it? This is a
good experience and proves that human beings are not different from
other lifes and it is even now the survival of the fittest and others
have no right to live! This is at the time when Marxist party has come
to the conclusion that there is no scope for socialism and human rights!
Bharat
Ratna to A.B.Vajpayee!
It was
just a joke that Vajpayee recommended the name of L.K.Advani for the
Prime Ministership and in turn Advani recommended the name of Vajpayee
for Bharat Ratna. It is for the first time I came to know that Prime
Ministers are recommended by the political party and it has nothing
to do with the citizens who vote to elect the people. We had all the
while believed that the Bharat Ratna was conferred on the elected people
who protects our constitution and the laws made under the constitution
and “Ratna” had nothing to do with Ratnakaram Satya Narayana Raju
who amassed wealth by exploiting his own devotees. Just look at the
way Vajpayee as the Prime Minister of India gave a statement in the
internet when many youths complained of sexual abuse by RSNR alias SSB
without even investigating a single complaint he stated that those complaining
are doing it for money without any evidence.
